POINT PLEASANT — Timothy L. Fowler, age 56 of Pt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday Dec. 1, 2016 after a long illness. He was born on February 23, 1960, and was a member of The Church of God.

Timothy joined the United States Navy in 1981, and served proudly for 18.5 years of active duty in the Submarine service, and was honorably discharged, when he was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease. He loved serving his Country, and was a proud Veteran.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents George and C. Joan Fowler; his grandparents; and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his daughter Tymberly Fowler of Pennsylvania; sister Carol Fowler of Point Pleasant; brother Jeffrey (Nancy) Fowler of Virginia Beach, Va.; and his nephew Zachary Fowler of Virginia Beach, Va.

Special thanks to Dr. Tayengco and his office staff, PVH Hospice Care, and Dr. Toothman and the staff at Arbors at Gallipolis for their exceptional care and kindness. Also, a very special thanks to Dr. William Park and his office staff for their many years of care and friendship to Timothy.

Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., with the funeral service to follow, on Saturday Dec. 3, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Brother Richard Talbot officiating. The gravesite service, with full Military Honors, will follow at the Ravenswood Cemetery, in Ravenswood.
