Theodore PeasantMemphis, TNTheodore "Ted" Peasant was born on February 15, 1954 to Theodore Sr. and Minnie Hudson Peasant in Selma, Alabama. He was the oldest of eleven children. He graduated from LaSalette High School in Cheshire, Connecticut in 1973. He received his Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. He earned his Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.Theodore and Wanda McMillan were united in marriage August 8, 1981. To this couple, two children were born: Courtney Janae and Evan Theodore. Theodore was a member of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church where he served faithfully until he departed this life on May 25, 2017. Employed by The Department of Veteran Affairs, Theodore worked at the VA Medical Center Memphis for 29 years. Theodore was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Peasant Sr.; mother, Minnie Hudson Peasant, and two sisters: Evelina Peasant and Patricia Ann Ervin.He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Wanda; one daughter, Courtney Peasant (Durham, NC); one son Evan Peasant (Memphis, TN); four brothers, Isadore (Marie) Peasant (Memphis, TN); Elbert Peasant (Prattville, AL); Glen (Valerie) Peasant, (Charleston, SC); and Terence Peasant (Montgomery, AL) four sisters; Rosemary King, Carol (Kenneth) Norris, (Selma, AL); Gwendolyn Peasant (Montgomery, AL); and Yolanda Peasant Harris (Mobile, AL); one father-in-law, Byron McMillan; two sisters-in-law, Vonnie Jamison, Zandra McMillan, one brother-in-law Byron Keith McMillan (Mobile, AL); godmother, Mary Connaughton (Roscommon, Ireland); a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and devoted friends.
