Darcangelo, Rose M.Rose M. Darcangelo, age 94, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Absolute Care of Three Rivers, Painted Post, NY. Rosie was born on September 11, 1922, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria C. Corsaro. She and Carmen Darcangelo were married on June 14, 1947; he predeceased her in 1982.Rosie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a talented seamstress. She was a long-time employee of Crystal City Bakers in Corning and many people knew her as "Rosie from the Bakery". She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. Rosie loved spending time with her family and many treasured friends.She is survived by her loving family: children Charles (Rosanne) Darcangelo, Patricia (Gregory) Thornton, Nancy (Clifford) Boyce, and Julie Darcangelo (Kenneth Conklin); grandchildren Stephanie (Matthew) Lempke, Matthew Boyce, Katherine (Timothy) Burns, Ryan (Wendy Halik) Boyce, and Cory (Zachery) Phillips; great-grandchildren Carigan Rose and Jackson Alexander Lempke, and Emerson Rose Burns. Also surviving are her siblings, brother Robert Corsaro and sister MaryAnn Derleth, and many nieces and nephews. Rosie was predeceased by her husband, her parents and stepmother, Josephine Corsaro, and brothers Vincent and Anthony Corsaro. Carpenter's Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 22, at 9:30am, at St. Mary's Church, 155 State Street, Corning, NY. Burial services will be held immediately after at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Park Avenue, Corning, NY.Memorial contributions may be made to a .
