    Thaddeus Bogoniewski, 64, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Batavia, New York. Born on May 2, 1962, in Buffalo, New York, Thaddeus lived a life marked by dedication, love, and resilience.

    Thaddeus proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Gulf War in 1990. His time in the military exemplified his steadfast commitment to duty and honor. After his service, he carried these values into his personal life, becoming a hardworking and devoted father who was deeply cherished by his family.

    Thaddeus was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Alan Bateman; his brothers Richard Bogoniewski and Guy Bogoniewski; and his beloved wife of 40 years, Vietta Bailey. Together with Vietta, Thaddeus built a family rooted in love and strength. He is survived by his brother Anthony Bateman; his four sons: Thaddeus Bogoniewski Jr., Curtis Bailey, Allan Terry Martinez Bogoniewski; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His family remembers him as a firm yet loving presence who always prioritized their well-being.

    In addition to being a dedicated family man, Thaddeus found joy in playing golf and basketball with his sons. These moments of shared activity reflected the close bond he maintained with them throughout his life.

    Thaddeus’s legacy is one of unwavering love and hard work. He will be remembered as a father who gave everything for his children and as a man whose strength inspired those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Memorial Gathering will be held on August 2, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at St Anthony’s Church 120 Liberty st
