Robert Vincent MarcoAGE: 91 • Newark, DERobert Vincent Marco, age 91, of Newark, DE passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 26, 1926, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frank Louis and Reba Sandry Marco. Robert proudly served in the Army Air Corps as a navigator on B-24s, and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie Ann Marco; daughter, Diane M. Hare of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Janice K. Mockaitis and husband, Dennis T., of Ambler, PA; son, Frank L. Marco of Jupiter, FL; and daughter, Christine M. Herman of Newark, DE; grandchildren, Kelly Grimshaw, and husband, Chad; T. Mark Herman; Justin Herman, and wife, Isabel Hernandez; Stacy Massaconi, and husband Trevor; Martha Behan, and husband James; Sara Mockaitis; Matthew Mockaitis and fiancé, Janet Stock; Meghan Hare; and Eric Hare; great grandchildren, Joshua Grimshaw, Kaylin Grimshaw, Mikayla Grimshaw, Samantha Massaconi, and James Behan; sister-in-law, Emma May Marco; and a large extended family of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Eugene Marco and his son-in-law Timothy Lee Herman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may arrive at Holy Angels Catholic Church for a visitation from 9 AM until 10:45 AM.
