MILTON - Richard S. Rohrbach passed away peacefully at the Delaware Hospice Center on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016. Mr. Rohrbach was born on June 5, 1948 to the late Sealos H. and Betty (Rhoads) Rohrbach in Reading, Pa. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the US Navy after 25 years. He also worked at SCI Graterford for 25 years, then an additional 13 years at SCI in Georgetown. Rich was a member of the Lewes Presbyterian Church and enjoyed helping at the soup kitchen. He was a member of the Tin Can Soldiers who he served with on the USS Rich. He was a member of the American Legion Post 28, and the VFW Post 6984, as well as a Civil War Buff. He enjoyed going to the beach and he loved spending time with his grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda; and son-in-law, J. Keith Freese. He is survived by his wife, Wendy (Hubbard) Rohrbach; children, Lori Freese and Gregory, Beth (Matt) Tsakonas, Mandy (John) Baum, Kimberly (Paul) Jacko, and Bryan (Michelle) Phillips; brother, Eugene Rohrbach; sister, Ruth Anne Good; and 14 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veteran's Cemetery in Millsboro.
