On January 7, 2026, the world lost a remarkable man, Bernard Jones. Born on April 9, 1974, in Wilmington, Delaware, Bernard lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.

Bernard married his beloved spouse Dana Marie Jones in the year 1992 and together they raised a beautiful family of five children: Bernard Jr., Bernadette, Bernice, Alexander, and Allen. They were also blessed with six adoring grandchildren.

Bernard attended William Penn High School and graduated in 1982. He was a lifelong learner, always seeking to expand his knowledge and skillset. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Bernard's family was the center of his world and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Outside of his family, Bernard had a passion for community service and giving back to those in need. He was a pillar in the New Castle Town community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it most.

Bernard's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
