He was born on March 13, 1983 in Memphis and is survived by his parents, Sandra and Rick Charlton of Memphis; aunts, Melinda Cummings Strickland of Columbus, GA, Laura Charlton Lambert of Opelika, AL and Gail Welch Cummings of Columbus, GA; uncles, Lawrence Lewis Charlton of Las Vegas, NV, James Edwin Cummings, Jr. of Columbus, GA and David Charles Cummings of Columbus, GA; numerous cousins of all degrees in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Nevada and California and a housekeeper, Helen Cogshell. Edmund was predeceased by a favorite uncle, Stephen Johnson Cummings of Columbus, GA and treasured his family relationships. Edmund graduated from Catholic High School in Memphis in 2002 and attended the University of Memphis. He worked as Sales and Production Manager for Cooper Blueprint in Memphis and later as Sales Manager and Logistics Coordinator for Gardner Duck calls and Sporting Equipment in Memphis and the Mid-South. Edmund was an engaging personality and enjoyed socializing with many friends. He was known for having a "good heart" and was always was ready to help someone. Edmund was a gifted athlete who participated in soccer, basketball, lacrosse and football. He was an experienced wing-shooter, deer hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed ski-boarding and exploration. Edmund had a talent for working with animals and was close with his dogs Beau, Bitsy, Buddy, Lewes and Bela over the years. He was one of those rare individuals who could fix just about anything. Edmund will be missed by his family, friends and girlfriends. We all mourn the loss of his presence and look forward to our eternal reunion with him. A Memorial Service will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 15, at Church of the Holy Communion, 4645 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, followed by a reception for friends and family. A later service will be held in Columbus, GA on a date to be determined.
