Paul Bland, born on September 5, 1955, in Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away on March 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of David Paul Bland and Lula Mae Bland (Scottie) and the beloved husband of Angela Cawthon Bland (Angie) for 31 wonderful years.

Paul was a proud father to Lane Purvis, Victoria Bland Barnes, and Landon Bland. He was also a doting grandfather to four cherished grandchildren, Sarah Scott Barnes, Laiken Marie Purvis, Logan Mathew Purvis and Beau Titus Bland expected in June.

After attending Central Alabama Academy high school, Paul furthered his education at John M. Patterson State Technical College. He then embarked on a successful career in refrigeration/HVAC, most notably working at Winn Dixie for over 25 year, where he made lifelong friends.

Paul was also known for his involvement in the CEO/President of the 70’s gang, an organization he adored with all his heart. His dedication to the group was unrivaled, and he could often be found reminiscing about the good old days.

Outside of work, Paul had a passion for University of Alabama football. His Tide pride was known far and wide, and he never missed a game. He was a true fan through and through, even in the toughest of seasons.

As we say goodbye, let us remember the laughter he brought into our lives, the love he shared with his family, and the joy he found in the simple things. Rest in peace, Pop Pop. Roll Tide!
