Eddie (George) Sellers, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 15, 2026, in Greenville, Alabama.

He was born on May 16, 1951, to Eddie C Sellers Sr. and Margaret Galler Sellers. Eddie married Sandra Carnathan Sellers in 1970, and together they raised three children: George Sellers (spouse Aimee Sellers), Sonja Newton (spouse Robert Newton), and Jessica Helms (spouse Michael Helms).

George is survived by eight grandchildren : Faith Newton, Robert Joseph Newton, Sara Keeney, Kiera Keeney, Carnathan (Nathan) Sellers, Judson Helms, Liam Helms, and Silas Helms.

He is also survived by two loving brothers: Richard (Stump) Sellers (wife Sharon and daughter Rebecca), and Bobby Joe Sellers (son Austin and daughter Amanda).

Mr. Sellers is proceeded by his big brother, Robert Michael Sellers (wife Joan Sellers, son Chad Sellers, and daughter Mandi Sellers).

George is also survived by his brother-in-law, John Wilkins, his wife Brenda Wilkins (deceased), and his two daughters Angie Wilkins and Cheryl Wilkins.

Eddie attended Greenville High School and graduated in 1970. He went on to work at Pioneer Electric, where he dedicated thirty years of service before retiring in 2001. He also served in the United States National Guard.

Among his joys in life were fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his children, until his eight grandchildren came along. They became his focus then.

George was a man of God. He never pretended to be anyone but himself, and never met a stranger. He was the type of man who would take a mess a fish to someone in need, or give a mess of vegetables to anyone in the community

George will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
