It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, Patricia ‘Pat’ Husting Willenbring. Pat died peacefully at home surrounded by family, and with compassionate help from the HealthPartners Hospice team, especially Christi and Dawn. Pat was born May 19, 1947, in Milwaukee, WI, to James and Phyllis Husting. She is survived by four siblings (Tom, Sue, Steve, and Carol), three children (Nick, Molly, and Ben), two daughters-in-law (Callie and Brielle), and three grandchildren (Ophelia, Oliver, and Beau), and preceded in death by her mother and father, and by her brother, Dan. Pat cherished her many friends and was lucky to have an indispensable group whose friendships have spanned over 40 years. Pat was loved immensely, surpassed only by the love she felt for her family. Pat held a lifelong passion for many causes, including early childhood education, public radio, and ensuring children everywhere were loved, cared for, and especially were fed. She loved bluegrass music, local arts, bird watching, cafe lattes, buttered French bread, and Cambodian food. She was a thoughtful, smart, humble, and delightfully quirky woman. She will be dearly missed.
