We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Modeste Phelps, who left this world on April 26, 2024, in Fort Payne, Alabama, United States. Modeste was born on November 17, 1946, to parents Willie Frank Parsons and Doris Lorraine (Madison) Parsons.

Modeste was preceded in death by their partner, Michael Phelps. They are survived by their beloved God Daughter, Aurora Orr, who studied at Morgan Park High School and worked at the Department of Corrections Girls Juvenile Division at Fermilab.

Modeste had a zest for life and enjoyed hobbies like reading and watching movies. They brought joy and laughter to all who knew them and will be deeply missed.
