Michael GilbertClarksville, TNMichael Gilbert, age 51 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 24, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Pinckley officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 Thursday, with a Masonic service following, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Full Military Honors. Michael was born on August 10, 1965 in Hamilton, Ohio to Virgil Gilbert and Alieen Eubanks Gilbert. He was a member of Sycamore Flatts Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge #89. Michael enlisted into the U.S. Army where he served during Operation Just Cause, Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operation Anaconda, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He later retired from the U.S. Army and was currently serving as Captain with Davidson County Sheriff's Department. In addition to his parents, he is survived by wife, Gloria Ann Schartiger Gilbert; sons, David Michael Schartiger and Jonathan (Tavia) Gilbert both of Tennessee; daughters, Ashley Gilbert (Josh) Lanigan and Lyndsi Gilbert (James) Fitzsimmons both of Ohio; brother, Mark Gilbert; 4 grandchildren, Caleb Lanigan, Thomas Lanigan, Augusta "Gus" Fitzsimmons, and Grayson Michael Gilbert.
