It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew Scott Heil, 33, following a tragic accident. Matthew was born February 9th 1991 in Middletown Connecticut. A resident of Lascassas, Tennessee, passed away on November 17, 2024. Matthew's untimely death leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

Matthew was a kind-hearted joyful soul with a remarkable sense of humor. He found peace and happiness in the simplicity of nature, often spending his free time fishing, hiking & barbecuing with his dog, Chiquita, and those closest to him. A gifted tradesman Matthew had a natural aptitude for carpentry, landscaping and especially paving - a passion he shared with his father Thomas who introduced him to the craft at an early age.

Matthew is survived by his son Bentley Hayden Heil his mother Tammy Lynn Gorman of East Haddam,CT three brothers Thomas Edward Heil Jr,, Jeremy Scott Moore Jr & Christopher James Heil 3 beautiful sisters Michelle Lynn Stankowski , Victoria Star Heil and Destiny Lynn Heil. & his soul mate Juliana. Matthew will be deeply missed by his stepmother Diana and his aunt's, uncle's and cousins.

Matthew is preceded in death by his father Thomas Edward Heil Sr as well as his paternal grandparents Henry (Hank) & Margaret (Peggy) Heil. And his maternal grandparents Ward Joseph Gorman & Mary Janet Davis ( Gorman)

Matthew's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As you look up to the stars, think of Matthew - he is not gone but shining brightly in another place watching over all of us with the same love and warmth he gave so freely in life.
