Mary E. DouglasMary E. Douglas, 64 of Windsor passed away on May 19, 2017. She was born on Dec. 9, 1952 in Alamosa to Harold and Florentina Lake. In 1979 she married Dennis, her husband for 36 years. During this time she devoted herself to her family and her work. She raised their two daughters, obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Regis University and worked full time at Eastman Kodak for 31 years. She loved to spend time with her family at their cabin in Red Feather and enjoyed summer vacations with her husband's family and friends in Pierre, S.D. After retirement in 2008 she worked part time at Eldergarden, Hope Therapy Center and as a crossing guard at Skyview Elementary. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Sunday family dinners, cooking, music, traveling, gardening, making salsa and dancing with her girlfriends and always found time for a round of golf. Mary fought a courageous battle against cancer all while staying positive and always smiling. She lived life by three rules; do your best, do what's right, and treat others like you'd like to be treated. Mary is survived by her mother, Florentina; husband, Dennis; daughters and their families, Sarah and Steve Tracy and children Bryson and Brynn and Amy and Nate Roberts and children Kennedy and Lane; stepdaughter and family, Lisa and Fred Schroeder and children Taylor and James; sister, Marilyn (Doug) Brashear; and brother, Jim Lake.She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Lake.Celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2017, at The Platte River Fort, 22999 US-34, Greeley, service and reception to follow.Memorial gifts may be made to Pathways Hospice, Windsor.
