Martha Veatrice HurleyHolladay, TNMrs. Martha Veatrice Hurley, age 86 of Holladay, TN passed away on June 26, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Hurley was born on January 31, 1931 in Memphis, TN. to the late Claude E. Thornton and Veatrice Whitfield Thornton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ernest Hurley; sisters, Mary Lou Gayle and Dorothy June Nash. She was a homemaker and member of the Holladay Church of Christ. Survivors include: daughters: Norma (Bobby) Jeffreys of Niceville, FL, Donna (Butch) Glover of Somerville, TN, Becky (Tim) Cathey of Cedar Grove, TN, Teresa (Jerry) Pentz of Somerville, TN, Brenda O'Bryant of Holladay, TN; son: Marvin (Angie) Hurley of Collierville, TN; brother: Claude Thornton of Whiteville, TN; fourteen grandchildren: Lauren Funk, Erin Jeffreys, Sharon Garlock, Stacy Ellis, Amanda Steen, Audrey Durney, Alexandria Hurley, Rachel Pentz, Simon Pentz, Hannah Pentz, Dale Hall, Mallorie Greenway, Melissa Hale; fourteen great-grandchildren: Zane, Jonas, Shiloh, Madison, Brady, Anna Claire, Amelia, Abbey, Page, Wes, Ethan, Cole, Nathan, Raylan. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 29, at Oakdale Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rick Welty and Stan Brantley officiating.
