It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mable Breland on February 25, 2025, in her home in Chicago, Illinois. Born on October 6, 1948, to Reginald and Macy Anne Walker, Mable lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by her loving family.

She married the love of her life, James Breland, in 1967, and together they raised five children: Charlotte, Angela, Lisa, Richard, and Darick. Mable was also blessed with 10 grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Mable attended Lake View High School, where she excelled in her studies and made lifelong friends. She had a passion for cooking, dancing, and teaching others, always willing to share her knowledge and skills with those around her.

Despite facing challenges, Mable always had a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone in need. Her infectious laughter and warm personality will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She passed away peacefully due to heart disease, surrounded by her family who will carry on her legacy of love and compassion.
