Karen T. Quinn 1948 - 2016UTICA - Karen T. Quinn, 68, of Scott Street, Utica, and formerly of Cold Brook, died on October 25, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, following a long illness.Karen was born on March 23, 1948, in Utica, a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Wheeler) Quinn. She resided in Rome, in her early years, and graduated from Rome Catholic School. Karen's working career included employment at ICL, Rome Electronics and Radio Shack.Survivors include a son, Robert (Kate) Batson, of Poland; three grandchildren, Erin, Jordan and Jessica Batson; two sisters, Anne (Sam) Fannelli, of Lee Center, and Amy (Rolf) Van Leeuween, of Sebastopol, CA; one brother, Tim (Deb) Quinn, of Chadwicks; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Alexander Batson.The family would like to thank her friends, Ruth and Linda, for their help and support.A Memorial Service will be held at Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport, on Wednesday, at 12:00 Noon, with Rev. Robert Lindsay, Pastor of the Newport United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
