Born 1929 in Tennesee, he was a career truck driver, he enjoyed horses, a good whiskey and fine cigar. He is preceded in death by his son Glen, his son Anthony, his son Edward, and his Daughter Peggy. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose, his daughter Michelle,his son Jim Jr, and his son Dale. He is also survived by grandchildren, Joyce (Alex), Edward Jr (Cathy), Dale Jr (Karen), Kim, Sheila (Krystal), and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private family memorial will be held at his and Rose' home in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on Monday July 1, 2019 from 11:00 AM, until late in the evening per his request where family can join together to share memories, laughter, barbeque, good whiskey, and fine cigars.

A graveside service led by his grandson Edward Jr will be held at the family cemetery in Ft. Wayne at 1:00 PM, Tuesday July 2, 2019 followed by inurnment.
