Jeannette V. Killen, "Jubb," age 92, of Leipsic, DE, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 3, 2016.Mrs. Killen was born on November 13, 1924, in Townsend, DE, the daughter of the late Walter B. and Annie E. Voss.During WWII, she worked at Bellanca Aircraft in New Castle, DE. After the war, she and her husband Harry operated the General Store at Port Mahon, DE. She also worked side by side with Harry fishing and crabbing on the Delaware Bay. In 1967, she went to work for the State of Delaware, Department of Elections and retired after 21 years of service.Jubb loved her family and took everyone under her wing. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, NASCAR and snowmobiling at her winter home in West Yellowstone, MT.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; six brothers, Burton, Francis, Norman, Leonard, Lawrence and Stanley Voss; and two sisters, Elva Taylor and Marian Hand.She is survived by her two daughters, Ellen K. Sayers and her husband Ron of Smyrna, DE and Jeannette A. "Sis" Killen of Leipsic; three grandsons, Ronnie W. Sayers and his wife Billie Jo of Dover, DE, Rodney L. Sayers of Smyrna and Tom K. Sayers and his wife Melissa, also of Smyrna; five great-grandchildren, Jessica Jackson and her husband Billy, and Alison, Harry, Amber and Madison Sayers; her great-great-granddaughter, Emma June Jackson; six sister-in-laws, Ruth Ann, Shirley and Nancy Voss and Julia and Franny Marshall and Alice Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, DE.
