Originally from Oklahoma, Jan was born on October 8, 1957. After graduating from Wooddale High School in Memphis, TN at age 16, she married the love of her life, Donald Myrick. Later, they had what Jan referred to as her two greatest achievements, their children, Gregory Myrick and Kara Ferguson. Jan had a special place in her heart for strays, both animals and people, and once she made you a part of her family, you are stuck with them; forever. She is survived by her parents, Morris and Bobbie Clark; her husband, Don Myrick; her sisters and their spouses, Jill and Tom Adair, and Cathy and Ken Webb; her children and their spouses, Greg and Deanna Myrick, and Kara and Joe Ferguson; Cindy's husband, Ronnie Pardue, their daughter, Patty, and her children; a niece, Teresa Carter, Teresa's husband George, and their son Cole; a niece Christy Brown, Christy's husband Johnny, their son "Tank" and Christy's children Kena and Marcus, and their children; a niece, Erika Cassidy and her husband John. She left behind friends too numerous to list; no one who met her was left untouched by the strength of her personality or the kindness of her soul. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 2, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Olive Branch Shrine Club at 9765 E. Goodman Rd. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
