James Frye, 81, of Elizabethton, TN, went to be with the Lord on September 03, 2023 after a long and courageous battle of multiple cancers. Jim was born March 09, 1942 to the late Albert and Adell Buchanan Frye in Buladean NC. Jim was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers. He also had 2 babies that he lost at birth, James and Patricia.

Those left behind with loving memories are one sister Vista Regan of PA, his son Tim Frye of Gate City VA and his daughter Ange Archer and her husband Mike who was like a son to Jim of Jonesborough TN. Jim has several nieces and nephews along with one very special niece Debbie (Johnny) of NC. He also has two grandchildren, Melody (BJ) Farmer of Piney Flats and Steven (Rosa) Frye of Myrtle Beach SC along with four great grandchildren.

Jim was a mechanic and carpenter by trade. He loved hunting, fishing and auctions. He traded in antiques, guns and knives. After he retired he built bird houses and dog houses as a hobby until his vision began to fail him. He will be greatly missed but held in the hearts of his loved ones.
