Jack JohnsonAGE: 68 • MillsboroMr. Jack P. Johnson of Millsboro, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the care of his family and Delaware Hospice. He was 68 years old. Jack was born on August 27, 1949 to the late Preston Johnson and Faye King Johnson who survives him. In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Norman E. Spicer and Michael Moran and a nephew, Georgetown Police Officer Chad Spicer who was killed in the line of duty. He retired from Delmarva Power and Light where he worked for many years as a Lineman and retired as a Trouble & Serviceman after 32 years of service. He was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church and a graduate of Millsboro High School Class of 1967. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing and attending sporting events. Jack was an avid Eagles fan. He was an exceptional left handed pitcher of local renown. In addition to his mother he is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Louise Johnson of Millsboro, DE; a sister, Ruth Ann Spicer of Georgetown, DE; three sisters-in-law; Elizabeth Blackwell (Don) of Quail Valley, CA; Florence Moran of La Plata, MD; Josephine Firstbrook (Fred) of Plainfield, NJ and a brother-in-law Stephen Morabito (Pamela) of Wilmington, DE. Jack is also survived by a "special friend" Linda Walls. Her husband Scott was Jack's best friend and passed away in 1998. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish his memories. A funeral service and celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 11 AM - 1 PM for visitation and viewing. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery.
