Helen Park WallaceAGE: 80 • MiddletownHelen Park Wallace, 80 of Middletown, DE, passed away on October 27, 2016, surrounded by her family.Mrs. Wallace was born on December 9, 1935 in Cecil County, daughter of the late George and Eva Moore Park. In 1956 she married Charles Wallace and they started raising their family. In 1974 together they opened a Nationwide Insurance Agency which she helped operate until retiring in 2000. She had lived in Newark and Wilmington before moving to Back Creek in Middletown.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Charles M. Wallace, Sr.; daughter, Kim Yingling; son in law, Neal Lawson; brothers, William Ellis, Rodney Park and Jesse Park and a sister Mary Jane Miller.Mrs. Wallace is survived by her children, Charles M. 'Mike' Wallace, Jr. (Karen Wilson) of Elkton and Lisa Lawson of Newark, DE; son in law, David Yingling of Havre de Grace, MD; 4 grandchildren, Charles M. 'Chip' Wallace, III, Amanda Lawson, Neal Lawson, II and Julie Emanuel Byers (husband, James); a brother, George Park, Jr of Elkton and sisters, Mayme Haag of Indiana, Pauline Loller of Elkton, Pearl Rowan and Hilda Dixon both of Middletown.A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, from 12 to 1pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 1pm.
