Frank "Harold" Darnell, Jr.Clarksville, TNFrank (Harold) Darnell, Jr., died at his home on January 10, 2017, after a brief illness with cancer.He was born on February 1, 1954, to the late Frank H. Darnell, Sr. and Louise Langford Darnell. He was preceded in death by his sister, Millie Darnell Johnson, and his brother-in-law, Sam Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Danni Davis Darnell, his children, Fount Mabry Darnell of Christiana, TN and Emily Louise Darnell of Candler, NC. Harold is also survived by Danni's children, Jena L. Reece, John M. Reece, and Katelyn R. Reece of Clarksville, TN, his grandson, Kieran Dougherty, nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews and cousins.Harold graduated from Northwest High School in 1972 and attended Austin Peay State University. He was an Eagle Scout and lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed participating in the Clarksville Pointer and Setter Club and the Peachers Mill Land and Cattle Company. He served two terms on Clarksville's City Council and was a past member of the Downtown Kiwanis board. Always on a horse, he was well known for his love of horses. Harold was a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association and an avid ambassador for the breed. He bred and trained many Tennessee Walking Horses and enjoyed participating in every facet of the breed he loved. He was an avid outdoorsman, a farmer, realtor, developer, and Mayor of Wrangler. He loved his family and always lived life to its fullest, reminding us often, "It ain't dyin' I'm talking about, it's livin'."The family would like to thank all the friends for their love, prayers, and support.
