The family will receive friends on Thursday, Apr 06, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and Friday, Apr 07, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home . Carrol passed away on Tuesday, Apr 04, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Oct 24, 1933 in Montgomery County, TN to Vernon Poole Sr. and Leron Blondell Poole. He was an active member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, song leader, and Trustee. He was a past board member of CEMC. He was a founding member of the East Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department. He coached in the Clarksville Nationals Little League for 18 years where one of his teams were one game away from going to the World Series. Mr. Poole enjoyed traveling around the world to do mission work.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; Vernon Poole, Jr., Edward Poole, Jean Cox, Edna Baggett, Bona Smith, Wayne Poole, and Della Poole, son-in-law, Ricky Hollis. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years, Mary Belle Daniel Poole, sons; David (Jackie) Poole and Greg (Susie) Poole, and daughters; Vanessa Hollis and Mary Lynn (Jerry) Wood, brothers; Bobby Poole, of Brazil, and Keith Poole, sisters; Margie Morris, Ruby (Gordon) Bagwell, Joyce Sager, Sharon (Jr.) Hughes, and Linda Keller, grandchildren; Ashley (Ben) Moore, Amanda (Kyle) Kondwros, Nick Poole, Jeremy (Marissa) Wood, and Hannah Wood, great-grandchildren; Della Moore, Hadley and Hudson Wood.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Debbie Jenkins 1000 Shady Grove Road, Clarksville, TN 37043.The family would like to give a special thanks to TN Quality Hospice.Online condolences may be made at www.sykesfuneralhome.com
