We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Zelma Harvey, who was born on July 16, 1973, in Houston, Texas, United States. She passed away on January 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Zelma was the beloved daughter of Freeman and Debra Harvey and the loving spouse of Joseph Watkins, whom she married in 2013. She was a devoted mother to her four children, Da’ondre Kenard Henderson, David Wayne Henderson-Harvey (married to Brittany Johnson), Kameron De’chun Frank, and Korey De’wayne Frank. Zelma was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren.

Zelma attended Contemporary Learning Center High School and graduated in 1989. She dedicated many years of her life to working at Memorial Hermann, where she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and patients.

In her free time, Zelma enjoyed reading, researching, trying different food places, solving word puzzles and word games, and listening to audiobooks. Her adventurous spirit and love for learning inspired all those around her.

Zelma’s kind heart, unwavering strength, and infectious smile will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
