Zelda Waunice Wiggins passed away Feb. 14, 2016, at the age of 85, from a sudden illness. She was born on Oct. 31, 1930, in Lindrith to Bill and Jessie Gartin. The family moved to Las Vegas, where she met Elmer Wiggins.Zelda and Elmer were married on June 17, 1949, and had seven surviving children, Bonnie Lopez, Darline Wiggins-Baca (friend Stevie Vigil), Judy Leyerly (JJ), Roberta Vigil (Gene), Joy Shubert (Mark), Gene Wiggins, and Sandra LeDoux (Jerry). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; son, Isaac, parents Bill and Jessie Gartin; brothers, Sam, Jim, Billy, and David. Brothers, Glenn, Rayburn, and sister Sherrill Lopez (Ernie) survive.Elmer and Zelda ranched in the Wagon Mound area for 64 years. Zelda was a member of Levi Club, Cowbelles, and a 4H leader.Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Chuck Wilson officiating, at the Wagon Mound gymnasium.
