GRIFTON | Zebedee ""Zeb"" Lewis, Jr., 68, of Grifton, passed away on Friday August 7, 2015. He was born on February 18, 1947, in Lenoir County North Carolina to Laura and Zebedee Lewis, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents. Zeb graduated from the Greene County School System and enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1973 and worked for E. I. DuPont Kinston Plant as a machine operator for 24 years. Zeb was always available to lend a hand and enjoyed helping others. He loved the Lord and his family was the center of his world. He is survived by his wife and true love, Toni; one daughter, Lori Lewis Cleary, her husband, Matthew, and granddaughter, Devan, of Grimesland; two sons, Dana Lewis, of Fayetteville, and Timothy ""Mikey"" Lewis: grandson, Kristopher Taylor of Wilmington. He also leaves behind his sister, Yvonne Lewis-Artis, and husband, Ruffin, of Winterville; brother, Paul Lewis, and wife, Kimberly, of Tampa, FL, and sister, Edith Lewis, of Kinston, and many other loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2 p.m., at Mills Funeral Home, Kinston. Interment to follow in the Climent C. Mills Veterans Memorial Garden.
