Zanele Smith, 35, of Cape Town, Western Cape, passed on October 22, 2022. Zanele was born on May 07, 1987.
District Councilor Zanele was an amazing woman she cared for all of us and treated us as her kids even if we were not.
She was born in South Africa Cape Town in Langa. She had 4 sibilings growing up she is the second born with her twin brother Sanele. They were an average family growing up. She went to Thembani Primary School in Langa and continued her studies at Clemont High School. She got in to UCT.
Her parents Thandi and Andele Smith had 5 kids: Shaka, Zanele, Sanele, Bongani and Lindiwe Smith.
Zanele was married to Ayanda Ndlovu who was a Lawyer. and she had 2 kids which were Zola who is 6 and Kagiso who is 2 years old.
She was such a kind woman. She was first a journalist in Parliment writing about the community, schools and the condition its in. She decided that she wanted to make a difference that she didnt want to just write about the problems but she wanted to solve them. She always used to cook for the kids and make sure they eat. She used to say "Help others without any reason and give without the expectation of receiving anything in return". Even when she was pregenant she would still help out even when We as the community insisted that she should rest, she didnt want too.
She was really a wonderful person and she will be greatly missed.
