YOLANDA DAUGHTER affectionately known as "POON" was born Thursday September 07, 1972 in Kinston, North Carolina The Daughter of Oneta Daugherty.
YOLANDA matirculated through Lenoir county school system. Graduated from Kinston high school in 1991. YOLANDA furthered her education and worked as a Pharmacy technician.
YOLANDA was gifted with many talents. She was certified as a natural hair stylist. However, her greatest girft after all her mothering and encouraging comfort was singing. She loved gospel muisc and artists like kirk Franklin and Tamala man her favorite was Greg O'Quin and his song "i told the storm".
YOLANDA was a friend, a mother not just to her's but to many other, a encourager and someone that could always be called on. She held her head high and always keep a bright smile on her face, without complaining to many about what she was going through.
YOLANDA fought numerous cancers for a little over 8 years finding her first time in 2012. She was truly a fighter and fought hard each time deception came into play. While still maintaining to be a mother and a friend and the person that most people relied on. Wednesday morning January 15, 2020 or beloved was called to rest
The extraordinary life will be forever etched in the hearts of Her mother Oneta Daugherty, her Six Sisters, four children: Kierra Lawson, Deonte' Gardner, Camille Ragland, and Somyia Ragland. She also is survived by 2 grandchildren. Aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, generations of cousins and a countless number of friends.
