We are saddened to announce the passing of Wood Herron, who left this world on May 27, 2025, at the age of 83. Wood was born on December 25, 1941, in Shannon, Mississippi.

Wood was a beloved member of his community and a dedicated family man. He and his loving spouse raised 10 wonderful children: Cornell, Mary, Margaret, Nelda, Moystella, Terry, Jerry, Sandra, and Jeanill.

Wood was known for his hard work on the family farm, where he spent countless hours tending to the land and caring for his animals. His green thumb and love for agriculture were evident to anyone who visited his farm.

Wood lived a full and vibrant life, filled with love, laughter, and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Wood Herron may no longer be with us, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
