Wilma Louise Sommers, 94Wilma Louise Sommers, 94, of Frankfort, formerly of Monticello, died at 12:50 am, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Frankfort.She was born on September 18, 1919 in Reynolds to the late John Henry and Louise (Buss) Ruemler.On February 1, 1940 she married Robert Louis Sommers at the St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. He preceded her in death September 10, 1977.She was a graduate of Reynolds High School. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. She worked at Bryan Manufacturing and also worked as a seamstress. She had been a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was an avid sports enthusiast, especially of the Indiana Pacers, NASCAR, and the Chicago Cubs. She also loved sewing. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Wayne) Esserman of Frankfort; daughter-in-law, Jeanie (Rob) Roth of Monticello; 6 grandchildren, Erin (Eric) Esserman Meek, Erika (Dean) Esserman Chapin, Robyn Sommers, Heidie Sommers, Sarah Sommers, Allison Sommers; 4 great-grandchildren, Aubree Sommers, Robert Fee, William Edward Meek, and Henry Robert Meek.She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Sommers Jr.; sister, Maxine Morris; and brother, Alfred "Bud" Ruemler.Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2013 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Blakey of the St. James Lutheran Church, Reynolds officiating.Burial will follow at the St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds.Memorial contributions may be given to The Michael J.
