Willie Ray “Snookie” Dooley, 74, of Bedford, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016. He was born on July 6, 1942, in Bedford County, a son of the late Noah Burnice Dooley, Sr. and Beth Hawkins Dooley. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Dooley, Marie Newman; brothers, Noah Burnice Dooley, Jr., Rev. Richard L. Dooley, and Garland W. Dooley. He is survived by sisters, Betty Miller and husband Willie, Ruby Key and husband Bunny; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. Wayne Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Dooley Family Cemetery.
