Willie Moore Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, at the age of 93. He was born on February 18, 1931, to William Moore and Catherine Davis in an undefined location.

Willie married his loving wife, Elizabeth Moore, in 1942, and together they had two children, Willie Moore Jr. and Annie Newsomes. Annie tragically predeceased her father. Willie was a dedicated father and grandfather, and he leaves behind five grandchildren Lorsey Newsome of Scotland Neck North Carolina,Willie Moore 3rd of Standford Virginia, Willie Newsome of Scotland Neck North Carolina,Reginald Newsome of Scotland Neck North Carolina Willette Bishop of Tarboro North Carolina

Willie attended Halifax County High School, where he excelled academically and made lifelong friends. After graduating, he began working at Halifax County, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his community.

Willie will be remembered for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
