Willie George Ivy, a beloved resident of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on December 17, 2024, at the age of 71. He was born on October 9th, 1953 in Aberdeen, MS to the late Willie George Ivy, Sr. and Mary Wilson Ivy as the 1st of 11 siblings, 2 preceding him in death (Rosemary Ivy & Willie James Ivy.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Robert Deshawn Perrin (Sherry Perrin) of Jackson, MS & daughter Renarda Williams of Columbia, SC, A Very Special Friend, Annie Williams of Columbia, SC.

He leaves behind 4 brothers, Richard Ivy or Ruleville, MS, Monroe Ivy of Tupelo, MS, Jason Ivy of Indianola, MS, and Robert Ivy of Durant, MS; 4 sisters, Bertha Crowley Bowdry (Fred) of Tupelo, MS, Elaine Ivy McDuffy, Eloise Ivy Williams (Charles), and Ora Holmes of Arlington, TX; 1 living Aunt of Cleveland, OH, Alice Boone and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was known for his courage, strong will, and sense of humor. Willie will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and friendship that will be remembered for years to come. May he rest in peace.
