NEWBERRY — Willie "PAPA" Dean, 80, husband of Ruth Stevens Dean of Union, South Carolina, passed away October 27, 2017.

He is survived by three sons, Joseph (Betty) McMorris Sr., Melvin McMorris, and Phillip McMorris Sr.; two daughters, Lucille McMorris-Beaty and Shirley (Darryl) Bryd;  A devoted granddaughter, Shaikeem Price 7 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd  from 4-7 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home, 15 Main St. in Whitmire S.C. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 5 at St Matthew AME Zion Church in Whitmire S.C. The family will receive friends and family at the home, 490 Tinker Creek Rd. Union S.C.
