William "Bill" Towler, age 61, passed away on Feb. 3, 2017, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, in the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at Lemons Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb.7, from 5-7 p.m.Bill was born on Dec. 19, 1955, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Orville and Beverly (Irby) Towler. Raised in Floydada, he graduated from Floydada High School in 1974. Bill worked for Joe Offield for over 30 years, employed at Hi Plains Millwright and later working as a welder and fabricator at H.M.S. Equipment in Plainview. Bill had a passion for working and was a skilled craftsman with his hands. In his off time, he spent hours in the garage, performing classic car restoration and repair. He also enjoyed his time spent outdoors, hunting and fishing.Bill was preceded in death by his father, Orville Towler, his young son, Chad Towler and his maternal grandmother, Clio Irby.Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Beverly Towler of Ralls; his son, Bryon Towler and wife Rachel of Newland, N.C.; his brother Jerry Towler and wife Shirley of Columbia, Tenn.; his sisters, Debbie Williamson and Susie Sue, both of Ralls; and his three grandchildren, Chadra, Alyssa and Joey.Online condolences may be made at www.lemonsfunerals.com.
