Bill was born on December 27, 1952 in San Jose, California and spent most of his childhood in Corcoran, CA. Bill earned a degree in psychology from Occidental College and years later obtained a teaching credential from Fresno State University and transitioned to a second career, spending twenty years as a teacher at Engvall Elementary School in Lemoore, CA. Bill retired in 2015 and volunteered in several organizations including the Visalia Waterways and Trails Committee and the Source Center. Bill also worked for the Read-to-Succeed Program. Bill is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Richard, and his partner, Norm. He is survived by his mother Isabelle, his sister Eileen, his brothers Tom, John, Marty, his sisters-in-law Terri, Gigi, and Tonya, five nieces and a nephew. He will be forever missed by all of those who knew and loved his lively spirit, kind heart, and inquisitive mind.An open house for family and Bill's close friends will be held at his residence on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's name to the Visalia Waterways and Trails Committee: Visalia Parks and Recreation Foundation, P.O.
