William R BryantFort Pierce, FLWilliam R. Bryant, Sr., (Bill), 97, passed away peacefully at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL on August 30, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 9, 1920 in Courtland, VA, the son of Mills Robert Bryant and Fanny Eugine Williams Bryant. A veteran of World War II, he retired after serving 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force he joined the U.S. Postal Service as a rural carrier in St. Lucie County, Fl.He was a member of the Oleeta-Dade West Masonic Lodge and the Lakewood Park Methodist church. He is pre deceased by his parents and loving wife of 62 years Betsy Ross Bryant, his brothers Roland, Howard, Allen, Russell, Wesley, Mills Robert, Lloyd, Clayton and sister, Mary Alice. William is survived by his son William R. Bryant, Jr., daughters Cynthia L. Bryant, Renee Bryant Piazza and husband Vincent, brother Melvin, grandchildren Candice Behl and husband Jason, Olivia Paradis and husband Brendan and great grandchild Brayden Behl.A Gathering will be held at a later date at Aycock Funeral Home. Family and friends reception will follow. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County or VNA Hospice of Vero Beach, FL.
