William M. Wilson, Jr., age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Lorna Johnston Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Mike Baker; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brenda Wilson; and daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Scot Vickery and their two children, Matthew and Melaney. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Ford; father, William M. Wilson, Sr.; and loving grandparents, Virgil and Sarah Costello.

A native Washingtonian, Bill went on to have a successful banking career culminating in the Presidency of Hemisphere National Bank at the age of 34. Bill was associated with the Washington, DC Chapter of the American Institute of Banking for 15 years as a student and member, with seven of those years as an officer or administrator of various affairs including that of President. After developing a love for the early home computer his professional life transitioned to the tech world with a successful tenure at Sperry and its successor Unisys.

Bill had a life-long love of music playing the bass guitar in a local DC band in his teens, loved to travel with his wife and had a quick-witted humor.

A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA.
