William E. "Bill" Hyde1935 - 2014William "Bill" E. Hyde Sr. 78, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully, Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha.He was born on Dec. 24, 1935, to the late William T. and Lydia Christine (Sach) Hyde in Chicago. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.Bill started working at AMC, and then went to Wisconsin Bridge and Iron before falling in love with the open road for 20 years as an owner/operator. Through the years, Bill realized he wanted to be closer to his family, so he began hauling for local excavating companies. Bill was a member of Local #34 Sheet Metal Union and a member of UAW Local #72.Bill was an avid Cub and Packer fan. He was a Pleasant Prairie Softball coach for years. He enjoyed anything that had to do with cars, trucks, tractors and trailers. He also enjoyed listening to music. Bill loved spending time with his family, especially at Christmas. He loved animals especially his dog Abby.Bill is survived by his children William E. (Kathy) Hyde Jr. of Kenosha, Christine (Randy) Brothen of Kenosha, Jeffrey (Shawn) Hyde of Spring Grove, Ill., Michael K. Hyde of Kansas City, Mo., Nicholas T. (Lisa) Hyde of Kenosha, Kris Powell Racine and Daniel Powell of Kenosha; his sisters, Nancy Lee Ciriacks and Katherine G. Butwil both of Kenosha; his 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Bill will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
