William "Bullet" Mathis Howard, 55, passed away on Oct. 20, 2016, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska, due to a long term illness.Memorial Services will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at Alano Club, 3103 Spenard Drive in Anchorage.William was born on March 26, 1961, in Louisville, Ky. He was an exceptional football player, and also a top notch DJ in Kentucky. He worked as a landscaper and music DJ. He has been a resident of Anchorage for the last seven years.William was a member of the Third Christian Church in Louisville, Ky., and enjoyed playing with nieces and nephews and watching sports.The family wrote: "William always had a big smile, and was a top notch DJ in Kentucky. The family gratefully acknowledges all expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness extended to them in this time of bereavement."William is survived by his siblings, Ronnie Howard of Anchorage, and Veronica Walton, Terry Lynn Sheckles, Ella Howard, George Howard, Morris Anthon Howard and Tawan Howard, all of Louisville, Ky.; his children, Coniese Cherry, Wemkea Gaines, Tobe Howard, Johnita Gaines, Dominique Howard and Andre Howard, all of Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Lorinda Howard; eight grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, Doris Anglin and William Tobe Howard; and one daughter, Williamnisha.
