William Henry Whiting, 90, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed on October 21, 2021 at Baptist Health in Richmond, Kentucky. William was born on September 15, 1931, in Madison county to Joseph (Mattie) Whiting & Rebecca (Harold) McGlothen. He retired from The University of Kentucky as a custodial worker.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Nora Whiting, mother & father, Joesph Whiting & Rebecca McGlothen; his daughters, Henrietta Whiting & Rebecca Whiting; & his grandson, David Hockaday. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Sharon Whiting, Sylvia Whiting, Wanda Whiting, Flossie Whiting, William Whiting & Christina Whiting; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren & a host of close family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm October 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church on Francis street, in Richmond, Kentucky, with Rev. Robert Blythe officiating. Viewing will be held at 11am at the church. Burial will follow at Madison Gardens cemetery. Oldhams, Robert & Powell funeral home is in charge.
