Rost, William G. William G. Rost 86, of Mesa passed away on December 18, 2016. He was born on June 13, 1930 in Runnemede, New Jersey to the late William Henry Rost and Louise Sugden. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his first wife Gladys Rost, second wife Joan Rost, and his brother Robert Rost. William is survived by his son Robbie Rost of Mesa, granddaughter Sheila Rost of Seattle, Washington, step-children Joan (Hans) Meyer, Bill (Peggy) Sinram, Janet Sinram, John (Diane) Sinram, Marianne (Ralph) Doerner, Kathryn (Bill) Patterson and Barbara Polzin, 30 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. He served in the military police in the U.S. Army, and worked for a telephone company for over 30 years. Family and friends are invited to attend services on Thursday, December 22, 2016 with a visitation starting at 10:00am, and funeral service immediately following at 11:30am at West Resthaven Funeral Home 6450 W. Northern Avenue in Glendale. Burial with military honors will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery also in Glendale.
