William Crawford was born on October 7th 1987 to William"Smookey"Gregory and Regenia Phillips. He departed from this world on April 19th 2024, at the age of 36 in Durham North Carolina. William was a man deeply rooted in his family, finding immense joy in their presence. His infectious laughter and love for life brightened the lives of all who knew him.Left to cherish his memories are his beloved children: Deziiyah and Ethan Crawford; his devoted mother, Regenia Phillips, and his siblings: Shakeya , Erica, Monique, Jannie & James Crawford, Isaiah and Anna CummingsWilliam was preceded in death by his father William"Smookey" Gregory, grandmother Janie-Mae Gregory, grandfather's Rodchester Lawrence and Prince Taylor, Aunt Karen Lawrence, and great grandmother Essie-Mae Gregory. Along with grandmother Jettie Mae Crawford, grandfather Charles Shivers, uncle Charles Settles, aunt Carolyn Crawford, great grandmother Emma Lee Settles, and great-grandfather Henry Settles.William's zest for life extended to his love for good food,working out, playing basketball ,and sharing moments with his loved ones. His family gatherings were filled with cracking jokes, warmth, and cherished memories.His favorite one liners were "y'all need to tighten up" and "y'all acting weird".Before departing from this world, William found solace and comfort in his faith, accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.The home-going service to honor William's life will be held on May 21st at 9:30 AM; with viewing beginning at 10:30 AM at the Jackson Funeral Residence of Jersey City, located at 1688 John F Kennedy Blvd. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a repast at the Bethune Center.William's absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his laughter(jokes), his love, and the beautiful memories he created with those he held dear.Rest in peace, William Crawford. Your spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were touched by your kindness, love, and laughter. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
