Will Richardson Sr. was born on December 7, 1946 in Cleveland, MS to late Albert Richardson and the late Susie Richardson. He married the former Cora Mae Johnson in 1974.

Working as a carpenter was Will’s life-long occupation. He used the time building structures for the local neighbors to spend time with his boys teaching them the trade. He also used that time to joke and laugh the long hard days away. He often spent time with his daughters and giving them goody bags to make them happy. He loved to fix things around the house and always seemed too busy for chit chat. He enjoyed visiting his family members with moments full of laughter and joking. He had a smile that would light up the room.

Will “Ray” Richardson departed this life on Monday July 12, 2021 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital of Greenville, MS.

Will leaves behind his devoted wife of 47 years, Cora M. Richardson; (4) Sons, Will (Gail) Richardson Jr. of Pearl, MS; Steven Dewayne (Latonia) Richardson of Brandon, MS; Tommy Ray (Laterva) Warren of Laurel, MS; Derrick Jones of Rolling Fork, MS (2) Daughters Yolanda Denise (James) Warfield of Greenville, MS; Maria Jones of Georgia; (10) grandchildren (2) Sisters and (1) brother and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents he is proceeded in death by (2) brothers and (2) Sisters. Will “Ray” Richardson will be remembered for his big smile, laughter and always ready to have a great time.
