Whilma Mae Boone, 94, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away October 14, 2013 in Shoreline, WA. Whilma was born on October 8, 1919 in Everett, WA to Maurice and Esther Bosket. She graduated from Everett High School. Whilma married Fred Boone July 19, 1941 in Everett, and they settled in Seattle. After the births of Gary and Sandie, Whilma joined Fred, who was serving in California during World War II. Upon his discharge, the family moved back to Seattle. Whilma and Fred enjoyed 70 years of marriage. Whilma was a homemaker and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family, and playing bridge. She was a Life Master and at one time ranked in the top 100 contract bridge players in Seattle. She was a bridge director and her ability with math and ethical conduct made her greatly respected. Whilma's fun sense of humor endeared her to her friends. She always wore a smile. Whilma is survived by her son, Gary (Merrily), Manchester, WA; daughter, Sandra Haramoto, Shoreline; sister, Beatrice (Clayton) Cardin, Stanwood, WA; five grandchildren, (Patrick, David, Scott, Sachi, and Shannon); and five great-grandchildren, (Cody, Curtis, Lauren, Daniel, and Elisa). She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; brothers, Laurence and Kenneth Bosket; and sister, Cecile Dow. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 26 at 12:00 p.m. at Washelli Chapel in Seattle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Food Lifeline of Shoreline.
