    Wayne Lowden III of Leon, Iowa, passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 31. Born on April 8, 1993, Wayne will be remembered for his kind heart, perseverance and his unwavering love for his son. Wayne possessed a very curious mind and made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend. Wayne will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Wayne grew up and attended school in Leon. He graduated from Central Decatur High School in 2011. He was currently employed at East Penn in Corydon, Iowa. He was married to Cassandra Omega Keller from April 6, 2013, until November 13, 2020. They were blessed with one son, Wayne Kenneth Lowden, IV. They made their home in Leon and Indianola, Iowa. In his free time, Wayne collected Dragon Ball Z memorabilia. He enjoyed playing video games, watching anime and playing Yu-Gi-Oh with his siblings and his son. His favorite activity was spending time with his son, Little Wayne. Wayne was adopted by the Hayes family. He is preceded in death by siblings Rusty, Riley, Jonathon and Jensen; and his chosen parents Jennifer and Randy Hayes. Wayne reconnected with some of his biological family in the last few years. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Michael Hall, Phyllis and Wayne Lowden, Sr. and uncle Rollin Lowden. Survivors include his parents and their spouses; Michelle and Cory Nixon of Everett, Washington and Wayne and Jay Lowden of Siletz, Oregon; siblings; Kelly Lowden and Alexis Lowden Neuschwander, both of Oregon, Alicia Schmuecker and husband, Alex, of Waterloo, Iowa, Raynn Wells of Des Moines, Iowa, Samantha Morrison of Everett, Washington, Trista Geurink of Norwalk, Iowa, and Laney Bohannon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
