Wayne L. Disinger85, of Delphi, passed away on August 6, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. Wayne was born on October 11, 1931 in Delphi to the late John I. and Edith Dorothy (Walters) Disinger.He was a 1949 graduate of Delphi High School. Mr. Disinger served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955.Wayne married Reva Hall on August 18, 1956 in Delphi and she survives.Mr. Disinger was a printer by trade having worked for several newspapers in the area and also owned the Oracle Press Print Shop for 20 Years.He had also worked at the Carroll County Courthouse as a custodian and drove for the Carroll County Senior Services.He was also instrumental in establishing the Carroll County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity working with that organization for 20 years. He received a certificate of recognition from the City of Delphi for volunteering for 18 years filming numerous events and meetings for the City. He received the Dr. Crampton Outstanding Legionnaire award and coached Little League.Mr. Disinger was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren.Along with his wife, Reva, he is survived by his children: Kimberly Alice Laxson, Beth Ann Hatke (Jack), Sarah Lynn Hoss (Andrew) and Joseph Wayne Disinger (Laura) all of Delphi; sisters: Virginia McKnight, Dorothy Rhine, Sue Witt all of Flora and Charlotte Crowder of Delphi; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded by a brother, William.Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home from 4-8:00 p.m. on August 9, 2017. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on August 10, 2017 with Pastor Jeff Tomson officiating. Burial will follow at IOOF Memorial Gardens at Pittsburg with Military Graveside Rites by the Carroll County Honor Guard.Memorial contributions in Wayne's memory may be made to the Living Faith Church.
